Meet The Team

Matt Swenson
GRAIN & CATTLE MARKETING SPECIALIST
PARTNER

Matt Swenson grew up in Sioux Falls, S.D. and attended Arizona State University. After receiving a Communications Degree in 2002 he interned with Goldenberg Hehmeyer at the CBOT in Chicago. He became a broker in 2004 working alongside his dad, Brad Swenson the owner of Swenson Investments and Commodities.

Matt is registered with the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) and a member of the NFA with a Series 3 license. Matt and his wife Marie live in Sioux Falls.

Andrew Wieting
GRAIN & CATTLE MARKETING SPECIALIST
PARTNER

Andrew attended High School at James Valley Christian in Huron, S.D. He graduated from South Dakota State University with a degree in economics and engineering.

He was the manager of the Swenson’s Huron, S.D. branch office prior to moving to Sioux Falls.

Andrew is registered with the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC), a member of the NFA with a Series 3 and 30 license, and is an Associated Person of Swenson Investments & Commodities.

Joel Farley
GRAIN & CATTLE MARKETING SPECIALIST
PARTNER, BRANCH MANAGER

Joel was born and raised in Atlantic, IA. He has a Bachelor of Science degree from Iowa State University in Agricultural Economics. Joel has personal experience as a grain and livestock producer. He previously worked as a grain originator and has extensive knowledge in commodity trading and the marketing of cash grain. Joel works with farmers in Northwest Iowa, Southwest Minnesota and SE South Dakota. Joel and his wife Greta reside in Spirit Lake, IA.

Joel is registered with the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC), a member of the NFA with a Series 3 and 30 license, and is an Associated Person of Swenson Investments & Commodities.

Travis Krueger
FINACIAL ADVISOR
PARTNER

Travis Krueger focuses on financial and estate planning to help Swenson Wealth Management clients achieve their goals. Growing up in Norfolk, NE, he understands the challenges that today’s farmers face and works tirelessly to help them pass on their legacies. Travis attended Dakota State University and has  degree in Business Finance and Marketing. As a Registered Representative and an Investment Advisor, Travis helps individuals and businesses create and manage wealth. Travis is the Vice President of Swenson Wealth Management and he lives with his wife Jess and their two children in Sioux Falls, SD.

Travis is registered with the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC), a member of the NFA with a Series 3 license, and is an Associated Person of Swenson Investments & Commodities.

Barry Matson
GRAIN & CATTLE MARKETING SPECIALIST

Barry grew up in Sioux Falls, SD and graduated from Lincoln High School and the University of South Dakota. He has been a broker with Swenson Investments and Commodities since 2007.

He and his wife Ellie have been married for over 35 years and have two grown kids, Beau and Meagan. Barry loves what he does and when he is not at Swenson’s or with his wife and family, you will find him hunting, fishing, or golfing.

Barry is registered with the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC), a member of the NFA with a Series 3 license, and is an Associated Person of Swenson Investments & Commodities.

Mike Sonne
GRAIN & CATTLE MARKETING SPECIALIST
BRANCH MANAGER

Mike Sonne grew up on a grain and cattle farm near Mt. Vernon, SD. He graduated in 2004 from Dakota State University with a degree in finance. Mike spent 11.5 years in the banking industry doing primarily ag lending in the Watertown, SD area. Mike works with farmers throughout eastern South Dakota. Mike and his wife Vicki reside in Watertown.

Suzie Seydel
OFFICE ADMINISTRATOR

Suzie grew up in Southwest Minnesota and works as a Client Relationship Manager for Swenson’s.  Before joining the Swenson’s team, she worked in Vendor and Risk Management in the prepaid card industry.  Suzie and her husband Terry live in Sioux Falls, SD.
